DMCA Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2026
StonkHub respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We respond to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).
1. Designated Agent
Notices of claimed copyright infringement should be sent to our designated agent, registered with the U.S. Copyright Office:
- Agent: DMCA Agent, StonkHub
- Email: dmca@stonkhub.net
- Mailing address: [Your registered address on file with the Copyright Office]
Notices sent to any other address or contact may not receive a response.
2. Filing a Takedown Notice
To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your written notice must include substantially all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it (a direct URL is strongly preferred)
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
3. Our Response
Upon receiving a valid notice, we will expeditiously remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and make a good faith effort to notify the user who posted it, providing them with a copy of the notice.
4. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our designated agent containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material removed and the location where it appeared before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, mailing address, and telephone number
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which StonkHub may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice
If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
5. Repeat Infringers
Consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i), StonkHub maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of copyright.
6. Public Data & Third-Party Content
Much of the data displayed on StonkHub — congressional disclosures, lobbying registrations, contract awards, and SEC filings — consists of U.S. government works in the public domain and is generally not subject to copyright protection. News headlines and article links are displayed with attribution and link back to the original publisher; StonkHub does not reproduce full article text.
